Sally Sara
Sally Sara is an award winning journalist and foreign correspondent with the ABC. She has reported from more than 30 countries including Iraq, Lebanon and Sierra Leone.
Sally has spent the past year covering the news from the frontline of the war in Afghanistan. During her career, she has broken the glass ceiling, as the first female correspondent appointed to the ABC's Africa, South Asia and Kabul bureaus.
Sally has written for The New York Times and The Boston Globe and is the author of the best selling biography, 'Gogo Mama.'
Sally has been named South Australian Young Journalist of the Year and Queensland Journalist of the Year. She has won United Nations Media Peace Awards and medals at the New York Festival Radio and Television Awards. She has been a finalist in the Walkley Awards for Journalism, six times.
Sally grew up in the small town of Port Broughton in South Australia. When she's not reporting, she enjoys running and was a silver medalist at the Australian Masters Athletics Championships.
In 2011, Sally was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for service to journalism and the community.

Jane Hutcheon
Jane Hutcheon is the presenter of a weekly interview program One Plus One and on the ABC’s news channel, ABC News 24, which launched in August 2010.
Prior to that, she was an international television correspondent for more than a decade based in China, the Middle East and Europe.
As a news presenter, Jane has been in the chair covering the unfolding of the Arab Spring and the fall of Hosni Mubarak, Japan’s Tsunami, Cyclone Yasi, the Christchurch Earthquake and the Norwegian mass shooting.
As a foreign correspondent, she’s covered events including the Hong Kong Handover (1997), Israeli-Palestinian conflict (2000), the aftermath of the Iraq invasion (2003-2005), Hurricane Katrina (2005), and the 2006 Israeli-Lebanon War.
Apart from her experience as a presenter and a correspondent, she has developed a reputation as an engaging and incisive interviewer, building One Plus One into a solid addition to the rolling news coverage on the ABC’s news channel. It was the first ABC News 24 program to be aired on ABC 1.
Recent interviewees have included: Anthony Warlow, John Pilger, Geoffrey Robertson QC, Edward de Bono, chef Rick Stein, ethicist Julian Savulescu and best-selling American author Annie Proulx.
Beyond her television work Jane is a published author (From Rice to Riches, 2003,2005) an experienced and authoritative moderator, panellist and public speaker.

Nikone Nanong
Managing Director of Nikone Handicrafts in Laos.
Rassanikone (Nikone) Nanong maintains she is not a business woman however she set up and runs Nikone Handicrafts in Vientiane after years of running Lao Cotton, a state enterprise.
Nikone employs 50 weavers, dyers, office staff and showroom assistants on site and 70 weavers in the villages.
As a result of the business, people have seen a dramatic improvement in their lives, including increasing school attendance by 50 per cent along with improving housing for families and the implementation of a voluntary savings fund.
Nikone prides herself on being a just and fair employer, expecting high standards and ensuring a good working environment and conditions for all her employees.
