The Brisbane breakfast will feature a discussion panel facilitated by ABC Radio National Presenter Paul Barclay and comprising special international guest Rassanikone Nanong founder of the Nikone Handicraft Centre in Laos, Boni Roberston, Professor of Indigenous Policy, Griffith University and Therese Rein, Founder and Managing Director of Ingeus.

Rassanikone (Nikone) Nanong maintains she is not a business woman but set up and runs Nikone Handicrafts in Vientiane after years of running Lao Cotton, a state enterprise. With the support of UN Women Australia, Nikone and her fellow weavers have been able to transform their community.
Nikone employs 50 weavers, dyers, office staff and showroom assistants on site and 70 weavers in the villages and the business has improved the standard of living for them all.
Nikone prides herself on being a just and fair employer, expecting high standards and ensuring a good working environment and conditions for all her employees.
